With Manohar Parrikar exiting Goa half-way abandoning the solemn promises
he had made to the people of Panaji may I most humbly seek your support and
blessings to make Goa’s capital city a model one free from Casinos, Drugs
and Prostitution. The garbage crisis is also alarming and needs to be
resolved rapidly. To ensure transparency and accountability in the
administration the constituting of the State Information Commission is
vital. The setting up a very sturdy Lokayukta should also be a priority to
check the rampant corruption in the State. All legislation should be
enacted with a head and a heart while never losing sight of the pulse and
aspirations of the people. There should never have been attempt to
transform Panaji into Las Vegas or Bangkok. Panaji needs to be what Panaji
has been. Together for Panaji.
