* BJP-appointed radio journalist Dilip Deshpande has been moved out
  of the post of Director of Information. This post has been a
  fiefdom of ruling politicians for long. Parrikar had it earlier
  run by former journalist Rajesh Singh. Menino Peres, who was
  sidelined in the past regime, and also has his share of foes
  and friends among journalists, is the new director.

* Dr Wilfred de Souza was "more challenging portfolios", news
  reports said. It was his dream to regain the chief ministership,
  and according to some versions almost pulled out and demanded
  president's rule or dissolution of the assembly mid-way through
  the Congress plans of replacing the Parrikar government.
