I would also like to switch to the HR datastore. I am just in
development and do not have any data that I need to keep.
Can I clear out my test data and switch my current app?
Or can I delete my app and then recreate it with the same name but
using the HR datastore?

I have not gone live with my app yet, so I don't mind losing all my data,
but i'd rather not lose my appid (at least until ssl on domains are sorted).
Is it possible to switch to HR from M/S and keep the app id?

I would like to do this too.
The priority for me is to preserve my application ID during this
migration. My understanding is that it is impossible for an existing
app to switch from M/S to HR; a new app ID must be used. (I would love
it if my understanding is incorrect.)

I think there is an option to alias your old application id. So maybe
that's option for you?
From my perspective all data can be cleaned in my apps, so just
switching would be sufficient... doesn't sound that hard?

I too can make do with cleaning all my datastore data for the
transition, so that's good.
What you you mean, Marcel, by alias your old application id?
