asking for this feature but the answers so far are problematic to us.
We have a Flex client and have integrated the JS version of Earth API
via ExternalInterface using the HTML DIV to display the Earth on top
of the Flash window

Creating a Google Earth API for flex/flash would have all kinds of
hurdles. The biggest being is that flash doesn't have any kind of
native support for 3D, so that means 3D terrain and or Globes will
render incredibly slow. There are some 3D flash globes out there that

Thanks for the info. I kind of figured it must be difficult to write a
Google Earth API in flex/flash. Otherwise, they would have done it
already. I will check out the 3D flash globes out there. Your 3D
terrain prototype looks cool.
