4th International Conference on Responsible Tourism in Destinations Muscat, Oman 10-12 October 2010. This is the 4th International Conference on Responsible Tourism in Destinations, it is being held in Oman to explore the application of the principles of Responsible Tourism, which originated in the UNWTO's Global Code of Ethics and the 2002 Cape Town Declaration on Responsible Tourism in Destinations, This will be the fist time that there has been a conference in Arabia about Responsible Tourism. There are new issues on the agenda; tourism in a finite world, Human Resources, The 4th International Conference on Responsible Tourism in Destinations has four themes 1. Tourism, Livelihoods, Local Economic Development and Human Resources 2. Responsible Tourism in a World of Finite Resources 3. The Responsible Tourist, Tangible and Intangible Heritage - 4. Responsible Destinations and Marketing The human resources, finite world, tangible and intangible heritage and Responsible Tourism marketing are themes which have not been considered at previous International Conferences on Responsible Tourism in Destinations.
