gregorio-scribus.lua is the same from contrib (2.4-svn)
900_gregorio.xml has some changes:
it has \usepackage{luacode} inserted after line 33 from the original
file,
line 75 from the original modified,

I'm assuming that the command gregoriotex below is just gregorio.
If that's not the case, then this is a command that I'm not aware of.
Maybe someone else here knows.
If the command below is actually just gregorio, then there must be
something else you type to run tex against the file

build and install it?
kpsewhich -all might be useful... can you please try
kpsewhich -all gregoriotex.tex
?

Hi Henry,
I built this gregorio myself. The commands were, if I followed the README
(I think I did):
$ autoreconf --install -f
and then
$ ./configure
$ make
# make install
I have two locations for gregoriotex.tex:
/usr/local/texlive/texmf-local/tex/gregoriotex.tex

That absolutely explains your problem. Remove all the gregoriotex files
from the older location.
