Inside your fonts build directory, is there a file named install? There is INSTALL which looks like a set of instructions for user not for a system. If there is, remove it and try again. rm INSTALL sudo make install Password: make: *** No rule to make target `INSTALL', needed by `install'.

(Please note the [c] and [/c] tags, i added them myself. The script which calls gregorio uses sed to replace those instances with \color{blahblah} calls for TeX to make it easier for me to code red text. I'll first note that this is unnecessary. The tag 'c/c' is recognized by gregorio
