Well, I upgraded to 2.4.2 and I still have the hieroglyph issue.
But it is particular:
If I create a pdf using Gregorio and Lualatex, I have no
problem printing that pdf.
But if I PLACE that pdf in an InDesign File and print to an

I experienced the same problem.
It seems that, in the /tex/gregoriotex-spaces.tex
file, the command has been changed to
\setaboveinitialseparation{4pt} (or whatever other measure).
Just try to replace your command with this latter one and see what happens.

I would argue that all the figures on the right are better
interpretations for those note sequences.
The podatus initio debilis (the first one) is more like the Solesmes
figure and is not easily confused with the liquescent clivis (what you
have as ge~). Compare -eg and ge~ in the old version

Ok, so I installed the new version, and I changed in the 900_gregorio.xml file
the file path to the gregorio-scribus.lua just like I did with version 2.3.
