Br. Samuel will correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is: The old \grefactor is now divided into two related concepts: \greconffactor (for use in spacing configurations like gsp-default.tex) and \grechangestaffsize (which changes the "factor" in the main tex document between scores).
