Ah, that explains it. While I sometimes shake my head over political
attitudes in this area (N. E. Ohio), that level of interference in other
folks' business is unlikely to take hold around here.

A lot of dry cleaners do this sort of repair work. Just call around.
Also there is a tailor shop at our local mall; there may be one at yours.
And try Nordstrom's department store. They do alterations and may know of
someone.
