I've logged 29 different VoK/KCBS frequencies here in the rural central
interior of Alaska.
A few months ago I was wondering why some of their signals to me were so
strong even though I am not in their target area whatsoever.
Well, someone figured and subsequently came up with a map showing that
Up here in Alaska, not a dang blasted cotton pickin thing to be heard on
SW... Even with my 225 ft long wire, antenna tuner and HF preamp!

On Saturday I edited together a bunch of my reception reports being read on
air at Voice of Vietnam, Voice Of Mongolia and Radio Romania International.

I've be a radio broadcaster myself for 13
Lately, I've been hearing their 0900UTC broadcast in English fairly well at
times, poor conditions can wreak havoc for this signal with me. They pretty
much beam straight south from Mongolia (178 degrees) and according to one
site, I am definately out of the beam and long path of this signal so I

15205 BSKSA Holy Quran sounds like it's spreading up to 15210 and there's
what sounds like, well.. Honestly? a constant wet fart noise spread out
over more then 5kHz.
I've heard them on 11820 and 15205 plenty of times and they never sounded

seen conditions. I scanned 2.5 to 18mhz and heard NOT ONE signal...

I assume they are probably at lower then their "licensed" 10,000 watts, as
evidenced by WRMI 5015 and Radio Rebelde 5025 beating them to a pulp here
in Alaska the other day.

Chinese Firedrake Jammer on 10,005khz runamuck, obliterating WWVH and

Around 0945-1000UTC Sunday August 28thg, I tried tuning into SIBC 5020 with
my Tecsun PL880, 225 foot long wire, EmTech ZM2 Antenna Tuner and
DXEngneering RPA-1PLUS HF Preamp.
Setting the audio at 2.3khz and I could barely here them.. signal was ok,

external AM antenna jack connected to a 225 foot long wire.
