[HCDX] Glenn Hauser logs April 21-22, 2017

2017-04-21 Thread Glenn Hauser via Hard-Core-DX
** EGYPT. 9745, April 22 at 0045, no signal from R. Cairo Spanish, checking
since there was a sufficient one on 9744.60, 24 hours and 5 minutes earlier but
which soon went off. Maybe same behavior tonight? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6930-AM, April 22 at 0005, JBA carrier under local spurblob
from a DTV box or something. Logs here say it was Radio Illuminati until
sign-off 0006:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,34338.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6955-USB, April 22 at 0008, pirate hard rock music at S8.
XLR8 per these logs:

(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6940-USB, April 22 at 0007, pirate music at S8; recheck at
0041 catch a Radio Free, What-ever, ID. Many more logs:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,34343.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6924.98-AM, April 22 at 0015, S9 signal but JBM music. These
say it was Liquid Radio:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,34348.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** PERU. 5980, April 22 at 0049, not even a JBA carrier from R. Chaski,
apparently off. Perhaps Claudio Galaz, Chile, the only other DXer who ever logs
it, will confirm whether it`s also totally off during the previous bihour
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** TIBET [non]. 13760, April 22 at 0032, wobbly JBA carrier, i.e. VOA Tibetan
via THAILAND on its Saturday-only frequency, sounds about the same as 24 hours
earlier on Friday`s 13805; and more likely to be the CNR1 jamming.

13770, April 22 at 0033 accompanying the above is very poor talk in Vietnamese,
i.e. CRI hour southward from Xi`an (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1874 monitoring: confirmed Friday April 21
at 2230 on WRMI 11580, good S9 to S9+10. Should still be // 5950 but too weak
to tell, JBA carrier. Also confirmed Fri Apr 21 at 2330 on WBCQ 9329.87v-CUSB,
good S9+10/20. Next:
Sat 0630 HLR 6190-CUSB to WSW

Wed 1315.5 WRMI 9955 to SSE
Wed 2100 WBCQ 7490v to WSW
Wed 2330 WBCQ 9330v-CUSB to WSW
Note: 9455 is still not activated as of April 21, and when it is, unclear
whether will still be // 9955, 15770 and 5850 at above WOR times like former
6855 was (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 7490.06, UT Sat April 22 at 0004, WBCQ with C, bluegrass music
instead of `Allan Weiner Worldwide`; 0009 Allan interjects something, 0010 says
digital cluster is over, computer control with a mind of its own. Tom to
the rescue. Allan is still in Fla, leaving it the great crew in Monticello but
must have been asleep at the switch. Soon a call from Ramsey, and then a long
monologue by AW about how he enjoys restoring classic 100+year-old cars. Also
on 5129.8 much weaker and delayed a good many seconds. Mentions that he has not
talked about politix lately, hmmm, but continues to make Christian references
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A [and non]. 7375-7395, April 22 at 0012, bigsig from 7385 WHRI music
splashing out 10 kHz above and below; and the ultrasidebands sound something
like DRM. QRMs 7375 Romania in English, mostly evitable by LSB tuning but
should not have to (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 15430.6-USB, April 22 at 0036, 2-way in colloquial Spanish
INTRUDERS referring to putas, etc. (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

[DX] VOA Radiogram, program 212, 22-23 April 2017, all in MFSK32 centered on 1500 Hz ...

2017-04-21 Thread Kari Kallio
[This MFSK32 image of tulips was included in The Mighty KBC's new transmission
Saturdays at 1500-1600 UTC on 9400 kHz, via Bulgaria. It was received by Al
using an SDR in Switzerland. If you are outside of Europe, try the University
of Twente receiver in the Netherlands:

Hello friends,
Last weekend, it was the Sunday 0230-0300 UTC broadcast on 5745 kHz that
provided the most difficulty for listeners. Reception in Europe was
non-existent. And it was not as good as usual in most of the Americas. Ontario
was an exception, as you can see in this video by Scotty in Toronto ...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9_hRpxf7Ss
>From the Saturday 1600-1630 UTC show, Youtube videos were produced by
"BlackApple 62" in Italy ...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yZ6F4mFZwo

And by Tim in Colorado, same time, same frequency ...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWgurJkmEHA
You can watch their decoding, or do your own decoding using the audio from the
videos.

This weekend's VOA Radiogram will be all MFSK32, because I did not have enough
time to squeeze in an MFSK16 item.

Here is the lineup for VOA Radiogram, program 212, 22-23 April 2017, all in
MFSK32 centered on 1500 Hz ...

[HCDX] Glenn Hauser logs April 20-21, 2017

2017-04-21 Thread Glenn Hauser via Hard-Core-DX
** CUBA. 5040, April 21 at 0101, RHC making evening Spanish frequency
announcement, so I copy it sic in typical Soviet-style reverse disorder: 15230,
13740, 11670, 11840, 9535, 9710, 6060, and at 03-07 5040; until 0400 11760.
It`s wrong/outdated! The studionix are not SWLs, even of their own station, or
they would know better. 9710 is reconfirmed off (audiblizing CRI Portuguese via
Kashgar), replaced by 7340, and I`m hearing this on 5040 which they think won`t
be running until 0300! (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** EGYPT. 9744.60, April 21 at 0040, S7-S9 open AM carrier and off just after
tune-in. Uplooked later, seems like it would be from R. Cairo in Spanish at
0045-0200; A-17 alternate being 12005. I was of course hoping for some sign of
Bahrain on 9745-CUSB (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6924.95-AM, April 21 at 0055, repetitive music at S7-S8,
measured at 0124 seeming talk and music at same time. A few logs here include a
Liquid Radio ID heard at 0057:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,34311.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA. 90.9 FM, April 20 at 1925 UT I notice that KOKF OKC is in a
far-right anti-Obama talkshow, while adjacent 91.1 KKRD Enid is in usual praise
music. Normally until now these two were always in // with Air One; you
couldn`t even hear a break tuning between them. WTFDA Database still shows them
both with that, ``Christian CHR/Rock``:

KOKF 90.9 EDMOND OK USA 7.8 7.8 451.0 451.0 35-33-37 97-29-06 3601 Air 1 Air 1
AIR ONE CHRISTIAN CHR/ROCK
KKRD 91.1 ENID OK USA 0.2 0.2 97.0 97.0 36-23-48 97-52-38 2C25 1073KKRD -
AIR ONE CHRISTIAN CHR/ROCK

So apparently KOKF has changed to another program source, at least part of the
time; does Air One also have a talk channel? Since I find them both so
disgusting, it may be a while before I can figure out from monitoring what`s
going on.

At 1720 UT check April 21, 90.9 is back to praise music but 91.1 is off! We`ve
just had storms blow thru, so a quick check of other frequencies: 88.3 Family
Radio translator is off (altho not unusual), other translators: 89.1 is in dead
air, 105.5 is off. OKC had much worse storms and many more power outages than
Enid, flooding and power poles snapped along May Avenue; cursory check does not
find any OKC FM stations AWOL (Glenn Hauser, Enid, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA. 92.1 FM, April 20 at 1926 UT check, KAMG-LP Enid is still off,
might as well be permanently as it was nothing but a satellator for a Spanish
gospel-huxter network (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** TIBET [and non]. 13805, UT Friday April 21 at 0037, JBA wobbly carrier is
here, with hardly anything else on 22mb except 13740 Cuba. HFCC on 13805 shows
only two imaginary registrations for R. Rossii via Irkutsk due south at 12-13 &
13-14. Aoki has the answer: nothing but VOA Tibetan via THAILAND, at -0100
only on Fridays and of course *jammed by the ChiCom. It`s one of those
broadcasts on a different frequency every day of the week, just to keep the
jamming controllers busy, and confuse would-be listeners. Aoki shows current
00-01 lineup:
Sun 13810, Mon 13640, Tue 13630, Wed 13670, Thu 13690, Fri 13805, Sat 13760
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 4630-USB, UT Fri April 21 at 0104, Manatee 91 contacting weaker NCS
which sounds like Roskot(?) 92. I figure this is CAP, from Florida? Does anyone
have a handy table of CAP tactical callsigns for each state?

4627-USB, UT Fri Apr 21 at 0105, another net 3 kHz below the CAP, probably more

[DX] Mitä vakuutus korvaa?

2017-04-21 Thread Kari Kallio
Kotivakuutus korvaa suoran salamaniskun aiheuttamat vahingot kuten palovahingot
sekä akillisesta ja arvaamattomasta sahkoilmiosta sahkolaitteille aiheutuneet
vahingot.
Laaja kotivakuutus korvaa vahinkoja kuitenkin enemman kuin tavallinen
kotivakuutus, joten pakastimen rikkoutuessa ukkosella laajasta vakuutuksesta
voidaan korvata myös pilalle menneitä pakasteita. Tietokoneissa olevien
tiedostojen tuhoutumista mikaan vakuutus ei korvaa, joten kaikista tiedostoista
olisi hyva olla varmuuskopiot.
Vahingon satuttua kannattaa valittomasti soittaa esim. vakuutusyhtion
palvelunumeroon. Palvelunumerosta voi myos tarkistaa oman vakuutusturvansa, jos
se mietityttaa.
Ukkosen lahestyessa antenni kannattaa aina irrottaa radiosta. Jo 1920-luvulla
oli kaytossa sellainen veitsesta rakennettu linkku-katkaisin, jota oli nopea
kayttaa. Pitkien lankojen suhteen patee sama kokemusviisaus, etta ne pyrkivat
jopa saalistamaan "virtaa ilmasta" aivan kuten ennen vanhaa maaseudun
puhelin-ilma-johdot, joita pitkin usein salama tulikin talon sisaan aiheuttaen
suurtakin vahinkoa! kkx
PS. Kesaisin Maakesken kuunteluaseman pitkat langat kerataan pois maastosta
juuri ukkosvaaran vuoksi.
