            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
Tonight, as Iraq continues to suffer through chaos, Washington continues to
sort out how to fix it (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16105449/). One of the key
Baker-Hamilton Commission recommendations tries to resolve the
Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We'll have an exclusive interview with Former
Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres and get his reaction to the link that is
being made between the war in Iraq and the Arab-Israeli conflict. We'll
continue the Iraq discussion with Newsweek's Michael Isikoff
(http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16062351/site/newsweek/) and CNBC Chief Washington
Correspondent and Wall Street Journal Political Editor John Harwood.

The recommendations by the Iraq Study Group report also called for U.S.
soldiers to be embedded with Iraqi security forces and for most troops to be
pulled out by early 2008. NBC Military Analyst General Barry McCaffrey (Ret.)
will be here to talk about what it will take to get the troops home.

On Capitol Hill today, the U.S. House Ethics Panel found that Republicans did
not break any rules when responding to ex-Rep. Mark Foley's activity with
congressional pages, but were negligent in protecting them.
(http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16107115/). NBC's Mike Viqueira will be here with
a report on the Foley Scandal. We'll also hear from Mark McKinnon, a former
advisor to President Bush and co-founder of Hotsoup.com, and Hardball Political
Analyst Bob Shrum on this and all of today's political news.

And earlier this week, Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS) threw his hat into the ring
for a possible '08 run. He'll be here to tell us about his plans.
