You're right of course. I should have said SIGKILL, but I've got into
a habit of trying to kill processes with kill -15 instead of kill -9,
and I guess I wasn't thinking.

Thanks for the info. It makes the whole process a lot clearer.
We are almost current on lab patches. After reading what the
latest patch could do, we are going to try be current very soon.
We were being held up on some HL7 patches which seemed
to indicate support for version 1.5

None of the current HL7 patches remove support for v1.5 interfaces. They
are waiting for the Lab UI to be moved to using VistA HL v1.6
interfaces. We currently have a project underway to effect that upgrade.
