I think that what Geir is proposing is that Harmony start from some
exisitng codebase that is hacking on and
be wrong but I guess the idea is to keep the options open and
encourage collaboration with both big buisness and other OSS projects.

IBM were to use the
Harmony JVM but use Suns class library. Actually I think that this use case
is one of the aims of the project.
there is no good
practical reason for wanting that either.
I think we will have to agree to disagree about that point.

the most liberal of the commonly found languages as
