Among the items added this week:
Shabbetai Bass Sifte yeshenim (Amsterdam, 1680), the founding work
of Jewish bibliography.

PRESENTATION ON MIDDLE EAST PHOTOGRAPH COLLECTIONS FOUND IN U.S.
LIBRARIES AND ARCHIVES.
Included is a section by the Director of Hadassah Archives:

I'm trying to obtain a list of best-selling Jewish children's books,
organized by age groups if available, and also organized by
Orthodox/non-Orthodox if available.
Is this information that the AJL has? Or, could you direct me to

I was referred to you by The Jewish Day School of New Orleans. I have
some used textbooks from the students of The Emery Weiner School in
Houston, Texas that they no longer wanted and did not sell at the
book exchange. EWS is no longer using these textbooks and Varsity
Books was not
I am writing a story about Jewish libraries for our Jewish newspaper in
Atlanta and I would like to talk to someone who is familiar with the state
of Jewish libraries and their future prospects.
