Just FYI, Robert Crumb isn't Jewish--although his wife, Aline
Kominsky-Crumb, is. Crumb comes from a Catholic family.

I have just recently installed Surpass CL, a program designed for
small synagogue and church libraries. I am very pleased with it so
far. It is inexpensive, but powerful, and has all the features I
need, including the ability to capture MARC records from the Internet

Thanks to Fran Wolf for posting the comprehensive bibliography of
Jewish graphic novels prepared by Andrea Kempf. Please note that some
of the titles on the bibliography are definitely NOT appropriate for
school libraries as they contain adult material. In particular,
JetLag, by Etgar Keret,
The following two are translated into spanish:
Joann Safar (The Rabbis's Cat) 1971-
El gato del rabino:
nº1 La Bar-mitzva (isbn 84-8431-898-2)
nº2 El Malka de los Leones
nº3 El Éxodo (isbn 84-9814-188-5)
nº4 El paraíso terrenal (isbn 84-9814-543-0)
Will there be a posting on the AJL website of the books various
congregations' Reading Groups will be discussing for 2007-08, as
there is for previous years?

use it. It is in the Gaylord catalog, #HP-PA3639,
color 75 (light oak) if you'd like to see what it
looks like.
Presently the unit is disassembled, with no packing
material
I would also suggest ResourceMate
(http://www.Resourcemate.comwww.Resourcemate.com) for very small
libraries -- maybe the 3000-5000 range. It is very inexpensive and
does it's job well, though I'm looking forward to improvements.

photographs of people named
