Cats on Ben Yehuda Street by Ann Redisch Stampler
Cheesecake for Shavuot by Allison Ofanansky (as well as the rest of the
series: Harvest of Light,
The picture book The Lily Cupboard by Shulamith Levey Oppenheim could
also be included. It would give the second grader exposure to a Jewish
child (unlike Anne Frank) who was successfully hidden during the war.
