Fiddler on the Roof was written originally in English by Jerry Bock and Joseph Stein for the 1964 Broadway stage. In 1965 the musical was translated by the actor Shraga Friedman into Yiddish and it was produced by Giora Godik and performed in Israel with Shmuel Rodensky and others. See/listen at:
