With sadness, I am reporting that Helene Gersuk, a long time member of AJL and AJLSC, passed away June 13, 2023. Helene was the synagogue librarian at Valley Beth Shalom in Encino, California. She regularly attended conferences while still working at VBS and qualified for advanced accreditation

I found the story. I checked several books of I.L. Peretz stories and didn't find "My Mother's Kerchief." I concluded this was not a Peretz story. With the help of Dr. Google I found a story with the words "kerchief" and "mother." I went to my shelves and found a story called "The Kerchief" by
