Havana Curveball is a heartwarming coming of age film that follows Mica, a
thirteen year old ordinary American boy who takes to heart his Rabbi's dictate
to "heal the world." For his Bar Mitzvah project, he launches a grand plan to
send baseballs to Cuba - the country that gave his Jewish grandpa refuge during
the Holocaust. This award-winning film brings home the implications of global
politics, and tells the story of how how difficult and complex it can be to do a
simple good deed.

The film has screened at more than 20 festivals in five countries and has won:

Best Documentary - Boston International Kids Film Festival
Special Jury Prize - Olympia International Film Festival
Best of 2014! - School Library Journal

"Havana Curveball at its core, is a film about global citizenship, emphasizing
cross-cultural communication, while exploring the inherent intricacies of
well-intentioned altruism. An empowering and intimate portrait of a young man
learning about himself and the world, through the universal game of baseball."
- Daniel Polk, Director of Global Citizenship, Hamlin School
