Hello everyone and early best wishes for a happy Tu B'Shvat.

I'm pleased to announce the publication of my newest book, a volume of
essays about Jewish history called *Day Trips to Jewish History*.

Some of the essays are the result of my travels throughout Europe to
explore lesser known aspects of Jewish history, such as the journey of the *
Anusim* (crypto-Jews of Spain and Portugal) as they tried to escape the
long arm of the Inquisition. All of the essays were either originally
published in *Mishpacha Magazine* or are adaptations of talks I've given
throughout Israel - and so the tone is meant to engage the interest of the
average Jewish reader (teenage and adults).

Here are the details:

*Day Trips to Jewish History*
By Libi Astaire
Publisher: Aster Press

*Book Description:*

Who was the New World's first Jewish author? Why did some medieval
moneychangers cover their hair? Which Jewish woman became queen of a North
African people? And what's the truth about the story that claims Hebrew
almost became the official language of the United States?

Join journalist and historical novelist Libi Astaire for a fascinating
journey down some of the less-traveled roads of the past in her latest
book, *Day Trips to Jewish History*.

*About the Author:*

Libi Astaire is also the author of the award-winning Ezra Melamed Mystery
