More detail about our K--8 check-out policy. Right now, I am working mostly with grades K-4, conducting library classes in their learning spaces. I bring a cart with me, and offer a selection of books to them. There is no browsing unfortunately. Kids can make requests, which I fulfill at the end

We are circulating books to our students but have instituted a touchless system. We installed a Honeywell Scanner Model #MS9540 attached to a computer checkout station. We also printed library cards for each student via our Follett Destiny system on Avery #5388 index cards. Cards are arranged by

In order to practice an abundance of caution, at this point our policy is to check out books to students only for use during pleasure reading time in school (indoor recess, DEAR time (Drop Everything and Read). We are making exceptions for students who are permanently learning virtually. Parents
