If you are looking for wonderful DVDs about Hanukkah for middle school, high school and even for adults, consider "Emperors and Rebels: The Story of Hanukkah" and "The Eighth Day". "Emperors and Rebels" is in two 32 minute parts (on one DVD) and provides the historical background for the Maccabean Revolt and its aftermath. "The Eighth Day" is a great trigger film about the attempted Hellenization of the Jewish population at the time and sparks a great discussion about assimilation and the Hanukkah story.
