Excellent, I wasn't aware of this.

I suggest that the Hackage entry for network-bytestring is modified to
let users know this.  I noticed that monads-fd has been marked as
obsolete on Hackage, with a pointer to mtl, maybe it's possible to do
something similar with network-bytestring?
