Hi!
I have a problem with our L4D dedicated server. It crashes everytime when I
connect to
lighthouse in survival mode.
I do the settings in HLSW (map, gamemode) and the connect via L4D mainscreen
entry
(server is assigned Aas groupserver).
When I connect, seems to load then I fall back to

I would try deleting the lighthouse map and downloading it again via
hldsupdatetool.exe.
Good Luck,

The command was holdout_start. It induced a Survival start, presumably
for testing before they had any dedicated Survival maps working and so
they didn't have to build one in Hammer. It would start the clock if the
round hadn't begun, or it would reset the clock to 0 if it was used
mid-game. In
Frankly I don't know why you would want to have a RAID setup for your
game server anyway. Maybe you do something differently than I do but I
don't keep any sensitive or un-backed up data on mine, and even then it
can all be replaced pretty easily. Plugins can be redownloaded, maps can

Yeah but as someone else pointed out, they do barely any read/write
traffic. If you're game server is slow, the last thing to worry about is
the drive read times.

Also, if you colo your servers like we do then a hd failure costs a lot of
time and money to get the os reloaded vs replacing one disk and having no
downtime. ;)

A friend created an update to the TF2 layout and added a bunch of stuff
including a connect to favourite server button, you could perhaps see how he
did it and
I read everything.

That is why I use RAID, especially on servers in other states.
Also remember don't go cheap on a RAID controller, make sure you get a
hardware controller with built on memory. You will notice a performance
increase. A built in battery is always a good idea as well. This might
be a bit more
Hi,
We're about to release our online generator for this file. It allows you
to enter the servers you wish to have in your quick connect list and
generate the res file along with it.
In the future we'll also add an option to save your file so you can easy
edit it later on and re-download it.
wow that sounds amazing! =D
