I just set up two new TF2 servers...
It seems that every time I run a _restart command via the console, the
server crashes and restarts after 10 seconds. While I don't really mind
as the end result is the same, does anyone
Add -verify_all and -retry to the command line. This will check all the
files and installs any missing files.

Did you use SteamCMD on the server?
I had the problem on a Windows server, to fix it I installed normal
steam install and it worked. No idea on linux. But if you also used
steamcmd once on that server that is likely the problem.

is missing and not everybody is aware that such file is required in

There's nothing odd about that at all, your TF2 client *is* the server in
this instance, so the server has different models than the clients playing
with you.

Had the same issue. Creating orangebox/steam_appid.txt did the trick

Is this update intended to fix crashes on level restart votes, or only
level loads? Because I just had my server crash a few minutes ago from a
