There is at least one quite obvious error in the steamcmd.sh when you
use a debugger. It will return the exit code of the rm command instead
of steamcmd because the rm is the last command that is executed in the
if part.
If you do not have the DEBUGGER variable set the steamcmd binary returns

unused files and move mods/maps/whatever was not vanilla to the right new
