Here the same problem, the combination tf2 + sm is crashing my 3 mvm
servers. Is there any solution for this?

I'm getting the same thing. CentOS 5, vanilla server (so sm/mm), and
only happens on MvM. Any map. Occurs whenever someone spawns immediately
after picking their class. Only seems to happen on linux.

Confirming as well. Gentoo, PvP server is working (was crashing for mystery
reasons, took SM/MM off and now it seems not crashing?) and MvM crashes
at the same instance no matter the SM/MM status. When you pick a class the
process pegs at 100% CPU and nothing happens.
