Word on the street is that hldsupdatetool no longer works on any game (servers just time out) and that SteamCMD is now required for everything. Which makes me wonder what happened with the Valve servers we never got appids for, such as Left 4 Dead and what's going on with third-party servers

After having updated my TF2 servers, I actually have a higher than normal player-count for this time of day on a weekday. I did not have any issues applying the update. So, I presume the higher than normal count is because many/most other TF2 servers are not yet updated. That's actually fairly
