Hello lists,
I recently knew about an Italian, Michele Scafetta, who worked 25
years at Alexander and is now making his own custom horns. I posted
some pictures of him and his work at http://www.corno.it (click on

Hello, all horn folks, and arranger/composer types, also!!
In our little volunteeer orchestra group, we were handed parts for the

Butt his lead poisoning did surely not come from their glass harmonica

Hi All,
A little over 2 years ago Andy Fordham sold his fathers horn to
someone on the 'list' but he unfortunately doesn't recall the name.
It was a compensating double, made by Alexander and marked
Geyer/Alexander. If anyone has this horn, or knows of its
whereabouts, please contact me off-list.
Many thanks to Robert Osmun - his advice helped solve the stuck rim on

I, too, played bass and French horn. For bass, I played in everything from symphony
orchestras to jazz ensembles to rock bands to vocal and dance recitals to pit
orchestras. All amateur, of course.

were taken. So my assumption is that Tom Sherwood

Out of curiosity, has anyone on the list seen the ridiculous flyers for
College Night at the CSO? They show up somehow even where I live in Dayton.
There is a picture of a clearly now cool braavo Paavo wearing club clothes.
