Not existing code, but you could use the SYSIN/SYSPRINT I/O

You should be able to send the SYSPRINT DD to a dataset, and then you
can use whatever programming language you want to look at this file and
pull out the dataset names that were successful, and not successful. I
recommend REXX, but you can probably do this with almost any language.

If you go to =3.4 and put in SYS1.PAGE.*, it will use a wildcard mask
and show you all the page datasets. Then press the pf11 key to shift
right. You will see how big they are in TRACKS. Then divide each .DATA
file by 15 and you will have each size in CYLS.
Hope that helped.

small - what, 4 or 6 lines total? Don't worry, every once in a while
IEHIBALL just slips up.

While the SMP/E RM describes GIMZIP, the utility used to
package for RECEIVE FROMNETWORK, I find no similar assistance
for packaging for RECEIVE ORDER. Have I simply overlooked it,
or has IBM made a business decision not to support ISVs in
supplying that format?

There is a good chance that we may stop using SAS on z/OS. At present,
only one mission-critical application uses it and we are looking at
replacing that. Our other main use is MXG. I know that many have run MXG

Hi John,
Have you read the archives of MXG-L at Barry's site http://www.mxg.com/
? There is some good discussion and tips in the archives. A number of
folks really like processing with MXG and SAS on a PC and have been able
to do so easily enough. One search that worked pretty well. I don't
Don't recall the size of JESMSG. I did an S (rather than a ?) in SDSF, so I
saw everything concatenated, and the total was probably 60 or so lines.

Got some feedback from Innovation Tech Support concerning my question

We also had this problem with z/OS 1.7 and AMASPZAP. We opened a problem

Here's IBM's response:
I have a possible fix for you if you're running OEM CA PMO according to

If you are doing Point in Time backups for your DR and you want to get

If you are using the Application Programming Interface for DFSMSdss, then

Hi
We have 4 systems in a sysplex running JES2. 3 of the systems
are in one MAS and 1 has its own MAS of 1. While less than 3 of the
systems in the 3-system MAS were at z/OS 1.8 and one or more was at z/OS
1.7 we had no issues. The MAS is of 1 was and still is running z/OS
1.7.
I just can't figure out why one TSO user might

Paging is ultimately a function of storage saturation, so whenever z/OS has to
dynamically acquire more pages to hold in reserve (the Available Frame Queue),
then the Real Storage Manager (RSM) will go out and
There is some information on this subject in an appendix of the JES2 Init
