JZOS runs java, not javac, so you would have to use BPXBATCH to run javac. It turns out that javac (the java compiler command) is really just a front end to Java that runs the com.sun.tools.javac.Main class from $JAVA_HOME/lib/tools.jar. So, it is possible to use JZOS to run the compiler
