The workstation agent can do that for you. I use it to automatically open excel

Little sas example that creates an ASCII excel (with TRANTAB=ASCII) on z/OS.

Did you do a 'ls -la /tmp' to make sure also hidden files (ie. starting with a

We use TFS for /tmp and doing umount / remount normally works perfectly to

Ted,
That fully depends on the nature of the query. In our case we allow the users
to use wildcards, but if they go overboard on that we could have some very long
running queries. With the predictive governor your not wasting resources, since
it terminates the query before it starts based on
a number of resources
(reactive). I think the user will get either a -495 or -905 sql return code,
but at least it prevents one heavy query from blocking everything.

Hello Brian,
We used to do that too back when we still had CA-1. If I recall correctly we
had some special filenames in the exit that were allowed to be written in

can do with the RMM exits is to prevent scratchruns from

I dont understand why your not getting any RACF message (you are using RACF?).
I would issue the $POJOBQ,JM=E*,HOURS96 directly to see if that will give
you some indication of the error. Also, have a look at joboutput starting
with E and see if there is some job that might explain the error.
In your case it probably has to do with the AUTH settings on the NODE
definition. Look them up in the JES2 tuning reference.
Check with $DNODE(node),AUTH and you probably have NET=NO on the
sending or receiving side (or one of the other AUTH settings).
