BS3000 was the original FACOM/OSIV operating system from Fujitsu -
actually a copy
of MVS Sp 1.3 - mostly the comments in the source has been changed .
I was working in support for this in 1983 - heavy looking in microfiche.
BS3000 also run on FUJITSU HW - as MVS also at this time -
No
didnt hear that.

And talking about BS2000, did you hear that IBM ran Solaris on a mainframe
this week in Gartner Data Center Conference? Microsoft should be ready for
the OpenWindows version to run on an IBM mainframe...

no - i know Hitachi (not HDS) had also a Operating System -
maybe this was VOS.
But i did support for the FACOM OS IV/F4 -
sold in Europe from Siemens as BS3000.
We called it BS3000 MSP10 and MSP20 in those days -
in the early 80s.
Learned a lot this time reading dumps with 5000 pages
Radoslaw
guess you mean BS3000 - it was a copy of MVS as i said .
BS2000 is different - i had to run some benchmarks in 2002 -
no JCL and no TSO , but ESCON attached EMC and IBM DASD..
and yes - both Hitachi and Fujitsu copied MVS .

I don't know roots of BS2000, but I saw some marketing

from which system do you move ?
EMC - then SRDF would be an option .
Volumes are the same size or migrating also from 3390-9 to larger ones ?
TDMF or FDRPAS ?
depending on the answers i have some ideas why - but there is no MUST .

can you post the Raid Rank Activity report ?
It is not enabled by default, so you must enable it in ERBRMFxx member
with the Keyword ESS then it will be part of the cache report .
Cause an LCU is dedicated to a rank you may have too much traffic
in the backend by doing READs and WRITEs here
Kees
the attachment did it .
What i can see is usual but this comes from the fact it is a 1 Hour report.
Can you send the 4 reports for the hour per 15 minute interval ?
If your Jobs for offload are shorter, try to produce a report with 5 or 2
minute interval.
But i am sure we will see high
doing logging in a single LCU.
