Here's a Friday topic: With modern disk arrays, e.g. DS8000, what is the real
exposure of meaningful residual data being recovered from a single drive out of
the array. I can't seem to find anything definitive other than a lot of data
may be recoverable statements from vendors selling secure
IEBGENER. Assuming standard 133 byte records this should do the trick:

We use Bluezone 3270 here and it has a checkbox under the keyboard options
labeled: Convert Input to Upper-Case. With that set the 3270 input displays
as upper case regardless of the status of the keyboard and does not affect
mixed case display fields.

are you specifying ascii or binary? Specifying ascii should correctly
translate the Unix new line to the Windows CRLF. Then your second transfer

that Softcopy Librarian doesn't. In that case you will need an ftp client
proxy. There are a few to choose from, but one that was simple to implement
