How about generate list of FMID's and check with what is installed..ofcourse
can have some third party FMID's as well..however this is what I could narrow

We work in 12 way sysplex/hsmplex and sometime following a bad tape hsm

Does anybody give me idea how can i copy only the smf records from given
dataset which does contain a particular string(dataset name) ..well while
dumping using ifasmfdp i used (0:255) now need to figure out the dataset name I

I appreciate if you could post complete JCL ..Do you have any SYSOUT statement

Hi Lim,
I believe at your environment Outclass Q has been defined for the SAR to
accumulate the output and keep in database and when you running a job with

I am not sure the scope of your question is it just limited to Printer or
extend
to Remote node job submission and getting output...
Certainly RACF may have option for it ..however 1 of the inscope task with
printers would be to limit the Lower and Higher records limit with Limit
parameter

What kind of dataset it is? Try looking at the ICF Catalog record via

SMF Type 60-65 ...MXG/SAS if you have can be handy in generating

Does below info help?
A.3.8.1 Accounting Records (SMF)
System management facilities (SMF) is a function of MVS that allows the
collection and recording of various types of system and job-related
information. This information is recorded in the form of a number of
different records,
I know number of people have replied to your post however could not hold
myself would like to reiterate NEVER apply maintenance to your running
system libraries...
It's a well defined procedure to clone your sysres,hfs or any other program
products packs to new packs and mount the new HFS
to have anwer for manual z/OS planning and installation manual Appendix D :
Making a copy of your software system(cloning) and z/OS Unix system
services planning guide having index of Installing services in to HFS
should help here..
Please hit below commands and put output..
( D EMCS )
( D C,KEY=OPERLOG )
( D GRS,RES=(SYSZCNZ,*) )
Also check if there has been any Plex defined system Ipled for upgrade if
yes with what version...
I see no Operlog structure in your output..since not connected...
use this and let me know what you get..
//VFRVOLSER EXEC PGM=ADRDSSU,PARM='LINECNT=',REGION=4M
//SYSPRINT DD SYSOUT=*
//INVOL1DD VOL=SER=FRVOLSER,UNIT=3390,DISP=SHR
//OUTVOL1 DD VOL=SER=TOVOLSER,UNIT=3390,DISP=SHR
aah,forgot remove by condition so job can be ..
//VFRVOLSER EXEC PGM=ADRDSSU,REGION=4M,PARM='TYPRUN=NORUN'
//SYSPRINT DD SYSOUT=*
//INVOL1DD VOL=SER=FRVOLSER,UNIT=3390,DISP=SHR
//OUTVOL1 DD
It can be what you saying and I see some improvement is happening with z/OS
1.12..
share remarks (boston)
---
z/OS 1.12 JES2 added support to place the SPOOL and Checkpoint data sets
in EAS storage (above the 64K cylinder line). It also added a new SSI to
retrieve printer
I have no idea why you got this requirement anyway it's a dfhsm recovery
scenario and look like needed help from ibm.you might be needed to enable
patches etc which are recommended by IBM...Like below manual does have some
dfhsm recovery scenario..
Please run the DELETE NOSCRATCH in batch job and post the output...I see no
reason why it should not delete dataset from catalog when you specify
noscratch...

Got a question ...we have nodes define in NJE over TCPIP both with JES2
