I am looking to create a report that include VOLSER, UCB and Number of data
sets on it.
I am trying to identify in our dasd farm the volumes that are empty. IE only
have the VVDS and VTOCIX left on them.
Any thoughts?
I have MXG and SAS, I have looked through the CBT tape, and I have

These are not PUBLIC devices. They are empty volumes that use to have
production data. That data has been moved.
I was hoping to find a QnD - Quick and Dirty - way of finding my volumes that
have been emptied.

After playing with several options, I have decided that what will server me
best is MXG with DCOLDSET.
What I will do is sort the DSNs on VOLSER. Then Count the number of data sets
per volume. Once I have the basic report
