I have FC1 installed on my comp and its terribly slow.
my comp specs are:
P3- 866Mhz
128MB SDRAM.
Is it tht FC1 requires more RAM or this is sufficient.

Without data you are talking out of your hat. Run top and see which
processes are taking up CPU/memory. Stop unwanted services. Turn off
transparency
