hii guys
i have just got cable net installed can any body pls tell me how to use it
on linux. If have configured the lan card for the IP adress , DNS etc. In
windows it has some sort of dialer. I hate doing net on stupid windows.
Can anybody tell me how to get net up and running on

You will have to ask your ISP to provide you with a dialer for Linux.
In case they do not have one, ask them to provide you with a direct
net connection to your IP address.
I have used cable net from Hotwire on both Linux and Windows without
any problem. Initially Hotwire didnt have

Have you included the other thing in the etc.? Did you do it? Including
step 3?

Yup, he is right! Before hotwire went for web-based auth, they used
clients I refused to pay the hotwire ppl until they provided me with a
