I 'm using below command to backup a directory and its sub-directories -
tar -C /u01/app/oracle/product/fmw -zcvf /home/oracle/test/fmw.tar.gz
but when extracting to specific directory i see u01 created
tar -zxvf /home/oracle/test/fmw.tar.gz -C /u01/app/oracle/product/fmw

I need a linux command to add a new line (at line number 4 in a txt file)
and save it using command prompt. Pls. help

Hello All,
I'm trying to install RHEL 5.4 from DVD. During start installing process it
gives error : file ncurses-5.5-24-20060715.i386.rpm cannot be opened. This
is due to missing file, a corrupt package of corrupt media. Please verify
your installation source.
Please let me know urgently what
