I like to download and install the latest stable version, when I update. There are very good instructions on the CLAM av web site.
My simple instructions (you must have CLAM av running now); Download stable version Ungzip Untar Change dir to untared version ./configure make make install reboot But check their web site, I'm not the greatest FreeBSD admin.
