Have you looked at a supermicro chasis. They work quite well with FreeBSD 4
and 5 branches

Would it be possible to move the relay_recipients.map to a database in
either postgresql or mysql. I am currently using a database for our
transport list and it seems to be fast since it doesnt have to hash the file
for db lookup.

Just make sure you keep an eye on the c:\inetpub\mailroot\badmail folder. I
would suggest having a batch file that clears it out.

This might sound like a dumb idea, but its off the top of my head and it
could work. Anyway one thing you could do is change the port smtp runs on.
You could leave pop3/imap alone and send a notice out to all your users to
change their information using the built in imail tools. Then you could
Is this a postfix thing? I was not aware that Imail supported this feature.

Has anyone tried out the Milter functionality in postfix yet? I recently
found out that Kaspersky on my server stopped working due to some change
they made with the software. Currently I am considering obtaining a license
of bit defender and using Milter instead of amavisd. Has anyone tried
Are you somehow setting the 127.0.0.3 response to allow instead of reject?

I think it can take up to 48 hours with some registrars. Others like Dotster
update more often (hourly) although I think the root servers only update 1-2
times a day anyway.

We use a postfix/postgres solution that allowed me to develop a pretty cool
interface in cold fusion. Lately I have lately been working on a .NET IMAP
Client so that I can move the WebMail/MainAdmin over to .NET/Mono. Anyway it
runs great no problems and allows our techs and users similar levels

I am seeing a lot of messages like these in my maillog. I was wondering if
others were seeing this as well.

Well the website is up and the RBL appears down. So I was wondering if
others saw this in their logs as well.
I am not too concerned with postfix's performance as we recently upgraded
our box to a much more powerful system and our mail volume is probably small
in comparison to others.

I was wondering if anyone else is seeing these messages from Comcast.

We are on FreeBSD with postfix and dovecot using PostgreSQL as the backend
for users and aliases and a custom .NET app for webmail. Our first setup was
postfix/courier/postgresql/cold fusion (webmail) but found that dovecot was
easier to setup and build our custom interface around. We defiantly

bit harsh. If anyone else has already figured out a way to filter this out I
would be interested in know how you did it.
