One last thing I've noted... after logging in succesfully I
noticed that an imapd daemon spawned and stayed alive even when logging
out of cyradm.
When the daemon eventually dies (around a minute) I can then relogin successfully into the server.
I have tested this on another box and the daemon

I'm having some strange Sasl issues.
It's on a newly configured machine, when freshly starting up the cyrus
daemons I can connect with cyradm --once--. Any time after that it
won't let me in with the same username and password...

Myself and a friend wrote a quite efficient php script that will sync
from one IMAP sever to another IMAP server.
We did it to migrate from courier to cyrus, but it works for most imap
servers (haven't tested with exchange yet).
If you want a copy let me know, it's quite quick (have successfully

Hello again..
I've finally managed to get the Cyrus to run, and cofigured to sendmail.
now..
when i type cyradm localhost i get this :
Can't locate Cyrus/IMAP/Shell.pm in @INC (@INC contains:
/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0
again. You should have following
directory: /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi/Cyrus/,
where Imap.pm and IMAP/Shell.pm reside.

Hello ... .AGAIN ..
Im following the install-instructions included in the source.
now im stuck again.. i can't login via cyradm .
When i try : cyradm localhost
it whats a password, for some user, guess it's jb, because it returns this
error message:
Login failed: generic failure at
/usr/lib
Doesn't help...
but why does it try to auth me as jb, while im actually running cyradm as
root?
and why does it try to auth at all ? i haven't got any users in the db?
