Hello,
We have a new cyus install running that our users
access through squirrelmail. User can login and check
mail OK. However if they attempt to create a new
folder they reiceve the error message:

Cyrus pretty much owns everything, all dbs,
directories etc. When I tail the
Hello,
I would like to start collecting statistics on users

right direction about setting
The reponse on this was to check the archive but I
didn't see antying in the archive that addressed this.
Perhaps I am myopic? Could someone shed some light on
fixing these ills?

Hello,
Some time ago we began offering some free email
accounts. We are using Cyrus/Squirrelmail and
Sendmail.
I am interested in looking at stats such as users that
have never logged in, users that have accessed their
account in the last 30 days, 60 days and 90 days etc.
We are using auxprop and
Hello,
I have a problem in that any mail addressed to root
now does not get delivered. Root does not have a cyrus
user account and I would like mail to end up in
/var/spool/mail/root until I log in and read it. Is
there a way to configure cyrus to not touch roots mail
or rather to keep sendmail
login account then to
invoke procmail as the local mailer.
You may also need to putll the following out of your
sendmail.mc file:
define(`confLOCAL_MAILER', `cyrusv2')
I am not totaly sure if that one is neccessary. I
yanked however and everything looks fine.

Hello,
I have a few accounts that I don't want handled by
Cyrus's deliver LDA. These accounts namely root,
postmaster, hostmaster I want to be able to check via
pine or some other command line mail reader. What is
the correct way to implement this. Currently for these
users I got the error in
Hello,
We had a migration here a couple of weeks ago from a
UW Imap setup to Cyrus. The old UW Imap setup was not
enforcing any quotas. We have a handful of users who
had mail folders migrated that were larger than the
new defauult quota for mailboxes. When these users log
in via squirrelmail and
Hello,
I wanted to see how people were doing any kind of auto
account provisioning using Cyrus IMAP . We currently
do not have any automated system for adding users or
deleteing them etc. We use a combination of Cyrus and
squirrelmail for our users. I know some posters on
this list are from an ISP
Hello,
After a migration I noticed that the subscription
information did not get migrated from UW to the Cyrus
install. In UW thee files are in .mailboxinfo. Can I
open up and parse the subscriptions out of these and
write them into username.sub in the /var/imap/user/
directory? I am assuming they
I believe this may have changed then in 2.1.X as I see
for this particular user in rosetta.sub:
user.rosetta
user.rosetta.Trash
user.rosetta.Sent Items
user.rosetta.Recipes
user.rosetta.password
These are obviosuly not in alphabetical order but I
logged in again after hand editing this file and
I believe the script Mike was referring to is at:

However is cyrus 1.X era TCL stuff. It could probably
stand a rewrite in PERL.

Hello,
I recently migrated a UW Imap userbase over to Cyrus.
In UW the default folder for sent was Sent Items

I know that folder names with spaces in them are RFC

put mail in folders such as user.username.Study

like the folder names with spaces in them even if they
are quoted:
localhost.localdomain
Yep this did it. Setting
LANG=en_US:en
In /etc/sysconfig /il8n and gutting the UTF-8 crap did
it.

Hello,
I did a big conversion from UW to Cyrus recently.
