The best dial-up or leased-line modem in the known universe is the U.S.
Robotics Courier.
I'll echo that. At one point I had six dial-up lines on my Chowdanet BBS
(one now, plus telnet nodes). I tried all sorts of modems and ended up with
six USR Couriers. Still use a Courier on the one
Don't have any audio to prove it, but from the frequencies of the
carriers I'm hearing this morning seems to favour DU reception rather
than TP. Noting two carriers on 774, with the weaker one about 7 Hz
low (Fiji??). I say weaker, but at times it is even or slightly
stronger than the

Thanks for the advice. I will add that to my possible options too. Cost

Hello, fellas from the Queen Charlottes! Regarding DX conditions, last night's
TA fare was much worse than the previous night (UTC 13th). I note that the SF
was 73 with A/K indices at 14 and 4. Not great. I assume the previous day's
were much lower. In any case I did hear some audio on

Danged if I can remember which list it was where someone was asking
about KENU 1330 the other day, with all the confusion over the station's

They just filed to change the calls on the AM from KENU to KGRG, so 89.9
will be KGRG-FM.

I'm really troubled by the lack of quality, and sloppy transmissions of
contemporary broadcast stations. The FM station I frequently listen to
routinely drops a right channel, and the AM stations often have dead air
and doubling of input.
