stations on 1580. A Spanish station that I can't get an ID from.

at 0945 UTC (1:45 AM PST), caught a jingle that started out with a lazer

I had this problem with the first SRF-59 I had years ago.
The variable tuning capacitor has very thin sheets of plastic insulating the
plates from each other.
If the pieces of plastic either break loose or wear out you start getting
scratchies.

Heard your station Pat, KAVT last night on the SRF-59. Just radio Disney
ID's, did not catch the local Frenso ID. The same thing on KMIK 1580

with are all network fed 24/7. So I would expect them to all be the
same. The network sends a control signal down the line that tells the
local computer when to insert local content and when to return to the
network feed.
