The only thing connected to the two 600-800' beverages
will be the JRC-545. I might take along the Space Magnet
antenna, but leaving home the Kiwa loops. It's much more
fun being barefoot when at the beach.

Robert,
Nice going on the 150th station. I'm at 132 and fading
fast, like the horse I bet today.

Hi Guys:
WellI just got finished logging Station #150 on my SONY SRF-59
No KKMO here last night, but recording 1360 turned out to be rewarding
anyway. Checking some recordings made after the KKMO test, at 0730
(a few minutes before LSR) I found a nice ID from KKBJ in Bemidji MN.
Not nearly as far as KKMO (917 miles vs 2193 miles for KKMO), but

KWKH-1130 is fairly common here during higher AK indexes.

Jim,
Yes, I sure remember the coast to coast TIS reception too. I QSL'd quite
a few. I guess we were there at the right time.
I wish the TIS stations would move up between 1700-1800 khz. We could
have our heyday back.

Dennis,
I don't remember the LAPD one, but I did get a lot of coast to coast
TIS stations. Some that come to mind Pennsylvania HAR in Allentown on
1630, JFK 1700, VA on 1620, etc. Those were great times.
Back in the great DU days, I used to get Hawaii by 8 or 9 PM (PT),
around LSS in Hawaii.

Both Santa Barbara Willits are possibilities. SB definitely is spanish and
last I heard Willits was as well. Simulcasting with Ukiah-1400 Ft.
Bragg-1230.

My hometown PD (Rockford IL) had an AM band station starting in 1933
with the call WPGD.
Well, given the numbers today we certainly didn't expect any TA's tonight,
but once again the Russian on 1215 has come through with audio. Other
than momentary traces on 1179 Sweden and 1134 Croatia that's been it for
audio. Lots of carriers though, including multiple ones on several
