Perhaps another reason I missed most of the morning was the wind. When it's
blowing in the fall and winter, it's usually a south-wester which blows right
at our bedroom window making it hard to sleep! I'll look forward to seeing

My first morning back after being away, and sounds like quite the morning
out on the coast. Here in Alberta it was certainly a good morning, but by
no means the best of the season. It was unusual in that both TPs and DUs

Thanks to a long rainy drive and some in-route errands, I didn't make
it to the Grayland Motel until after 4:00PM. Thankfully, the
impending REAL storm held off long enough for me to get the NW

As far as I'm concerned, this is strictly up to the individual

distinguish between my own personal records for Grayland and Orcas
Island, as far as TPs were concerned and I haven't and don't plan
to, EXCEPT where contests
Hi Neil,
Been noticing a lot of hets the past few mornings, but no audio. Not being

John,
I am the same way, unless I apply for an award or something. Then I
always separate the loggings/QSLs. I have collected QSLs from
Seasde/Warrenton, Portland, Rancho Mirage CA, and Seward AK through the
years. 90% have been from the Oregon coast though.

I figured out one day that I have heard about 4000 unique AM stations,
with about 1500 QSLs and about 3000 recorded. (I also have DXed TV,
FM, and SW.) But that is from at least 12 different sites. Over the
years I have kept totals from six sites, but right now only one.

Bill,
The advantage of a DXpedition, you are getting DX. Going to where the
station is located would not be near as much fun. One big reason for
DXpeditions today, as so many DXers live in cities where the local QRN
plus solid NSP stations, they have to go out of town to get the DX.
73,
QRN and NSP?

I have a fairly modern Kenwood system (Sirius enabled) in the Civic Sedan

Not surprising, most decent car radios perform well
