Hello Jim
Not checked PERSEUS yet. One quick note from York in the East of UK says
nothing noted from the West coast. In terms of reciprocation signals what is
your location across the Pond?
Best wishes
Barry : -) (Carlisle UK, PERSEUS)

Conditions was way down from yesterday and the only audio was from Radio Rossii
on 279 and weak carriers on 774 and 1566.

Yikes is right - that's incredible! Back in 1975, I had a housemate who would
set his turntable (!) to turn on and play that alarm clock sequence to wake him
up in the morning.

Unlike Bill in AZ, I enjoyed better conditions this morning.
Actually one of the better mornings of the season. I didn't check my
records, but I don't recall much in the way of audio on 927. Apart from
the audio listed below many channels had solid carriers near to audio.

Conditions up from previous days here, but down from previous
years for this time of the year. Long waves have took a noise dive
from September's receptions here. Upper channels vacant with the
exception of HLAZ 1566. Will give TA's a try this evening.

TP activity up a little from 10-20-21.
Listening on a barefoot Tecsun PL-310, I heard JOUB
747 with a woman talking at 1153-1200 UTC, fading out
after TS.
Later, at 1239-1241 I received JOAB 593 with a man
and woman talking on PL-310 plus 7.5 ferrite loop.
Otherwise only slight carrier

Hello All,
Thanks to a tip from Steve around 0206 UTC last night, there was a
chance to set up a 12 Longwave FSL antenna in my back yard and be the
first west coast Ultralight radio user to chase Longwave TA's.
Threshold audio on 5 different Longwave frequencies was received, but

I phoned WZRK Avenue 1550 in WI to let them know their one night-time watt is
getting out way too well. They are following up on my alert, so if you have not
logged this, I'd recommend trying sooner rather than later. It's been perfectly
consistent for a very long time. This was a

Hi Walt,
Well, concerning the weak TA audio last night on MW (your

that the glass is either half empty, or half full (except in my case,
the glass was probably more like 10% full!).

The jury's split this morning. Some of you found things weaker, while
others did better. I'm in the latter camp, at least on the lower half of
the band with decent levels from Asian, but also some DU propagation. All
in all, fairly good. Monitored between 13:37 and 14:05 only this morning.

Somebody posted on the NRC list that if they parked on 1630, they'd get
KCJJ on LSB and KRND Wyoming
I tuned in a half hour after Rick's initial post to the NRC's DXTIP list. I
think 1560 R Disney's IBOC is on, but slightly weakened. I'm hearing hash on
1550 and 1570 when aimed at NYCity. But it's clearer on 1550 than it used to be
when faced west...I'm hearing Avenue 1550 Lake Geneva WI, La
The tip is spot-on.
Just logged KRND as La Jota Mexicana mixing with KCJJ. Neither needed
here, but I went decades before I finally logged Wymoing from here, so
always nice to hear.

Glad everyone else is hearing Wyoming, but here just WRDW well over KCJJ on
both USB and LSB. There's something else there too, but more likely a TIS than
KRND. Thanks for the tip, though - will keep trying! David YocisHarpers Ferry,
